Ny-Alesund - Worlds northernmost civilian and functional settlement and home to the northernmost post office in the world
Ny-Alesund, is situated among calving glaciers, islands, breathtaking fjord landscapes and dramatic mountain peaks. Now and then they also get polar bears near or in the city.
This trip is conducted by either us, or one of the other quality companies we work with on Svalbard.
EXCITING TRIP
This is an intense and exciting boat trip – it brings you deep into the wild, perhaps further into the wilderness than you have ever been before.
WILDLIFE
It is a good chance to see a lot of wildlife on this trip. If you are lucky, you might end up seeing countless birds, walruses, seals, reindeer, Arctic foxes, and maybe even one or more polar bears, the king of the Arctic.
ALL INCLUSIVE
We include most of what you need on this trip to Ny-Ålesund. You can save a lot of money not buying expensive winter clothes, and other things you maybe don't even need back home.
LOCAL KNOWLEDGE
Øystein, the owner of the company, says: "After spending 25 years exploring this amazing country by car, skis, sea kayak, cycling, sailing, and hiking, I know where and how to place you in the middle of the greatest experiences. We bring you to the right spot at the right time."
ECOTOURISM
We offer ecologically sustainable and responsible tours. Travelling in small groups is an essential part of the ecotourism concept, as small groups have lesser impact on nature and will not disturb the wildlife unnecessarily.
